Artist Statement
My art is driven by the need to find comfort in a troubled world.

My mixed media artwork brings together drawing, painting, and various methods of printmaking including etching, dry point, monotype, collagraph and others. I am fascinated with the medium of printmaking and inspired by its endless possibilities.

I see the printmaking process as a slow and long journey, that is as equally rewarding as the end result.

Many of my latest prints show circular lines and shapes that vary in colors, values, sizes, and texture. I have always been drawn to the shape of the circle because it is a complete, perfect and organic form. I see the circle as a metaphor for life, both because it can be seen as perfect and because it is easily marred. To me these prints forms my progression towards hope and regrowth.
